Responsible for active management of existing client relationships and new business development. The position requires a strong financial background, excellent personal communication skills, and experience in and knowledge of investments, trust administration, wealth management and estate planning.



  • Develop high net worth business and increase Chesapeake Wealth Management (CWM) net revenue growth
  • Manage and service existing client relationships
  • Seek new clients through contacts, client referrals, workshops and seminars, centers of influence, other CFS lines of business and nonprofits
  • Regular in-person, telephone and written communication with clients on investment, wealth management, trust and estate matters
  • Work with Portfolio Management team to make recommendations for investment strategies and appropriate asset allocations to achieve clients’ wealth management objectives
  • Strong focus on ethics and adherence to fiduciary rules
  • Represent company at civic, social and after-hour events
  • Serve on in-house committees as needed or requested


  • College degree and 5 + years in the wealth management industry
  • CFP, CFA, ChFC, or CTFA professional designation preferred
  • Trust Officer experience preferred
  • Proven track record in business development
  • Proven track record in client servicing and administration
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong in-person client skills; ability to communicate investment and financial strategies, trust and estate matters
  • Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Willingness to travel throughout our regions and sometimes work outside normal office hours
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Willingness to be a team player in all respects
