Summary: Review of loan conditions as requested by the Underwriter. Validation of conditions necessary to prepare loan for closing.

 

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and set up files on each loan after the file has been underwritten.
  • Review loan file to prepare borrower commitment letter.
  • Order appraisals, title and other information as needed on residential loan packages.
  • Consult with Loan Officers to gather pending underwriting conditions to clear loan to close.
  • Keep informed of current loan practices.
  • Ensure that residential loan disclosures contain proper signatures, dates, and other relevant data.
  • Ensure all underwriting conditions are met and the loan is clear to close within the timelines established for the loan.
  • Assist loan officers as needed.
  • Perform a variety of clerical duties requiring knowledge of departmental procedures.
  • Answer telephone and written inquiries concerning loan processing and information.
  • Conduct periodic check of files and records to ensure all are in order and documentation is timely prior to closing.
  • Scan and upload all loan documentation into loan origination imaging software.
  • Notify Loan Officer of missing paperwork or other information needed to complete the files for the financial institution.
  • Scan/Image closed loan packages to Synergy.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Two years banking experience.
  • Good understanding of loan applications policies and procedures, as well as documentation required by underwriters and government agencies when needed.
  • Good organizational and analytical skills.
  • Loan documentation experience a plus.
