    SUMMARY:

    Everything we do at Chesapeake Bank as an organization and a team creates an experience for us and for our customers. Performs various administrative and credit functions as they relate to the mortgage and commercial loan portfolio. Interacts with mortgage and commercial customers, closing attorneys, loan operations and the mortgage/commercial loan officer in charge of the relationship. Assembles and verifies loan documents for accuracy.

     

     

     

    Responsibilities

    • Manage the mortgage/commercial division’s credit files, internal and external customer correspondence, and updating of corporate and personal financial information to include pulling credit reports
    • Assist in keying in applications, collecting documents from clients & uploading files to operations
    • Request mortgage/commercial loan documents from loan administration and verify the accuracy of these documents before closing
    • Coordinate loan closings with lending officer, loan administration, borrowers, closing attorneys, and other outside representatives and facilitate the movement of documents from closing to credit file/loan administration
    • Ensure that closed loan documents contain proper signatures, dates and other relevant data
    • Perform routine services for mortgage/commercial customers such as draw requests, transfers and assists with customer problems
    • Communicate with mortgage/commercial customers concerning past due payments and matured loans and calling customers
    • Cross sell financial institution products and services, as appropriate
    • Assist with preparing any loan production reports
    • Performs variety of clerical duties
    • Obtain Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System(NMLS) Licensing

    Requirements

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Experience in financial/mortgage or legal profession preferred
    • Experience as a mortgage processor or loan officer assistant with working product knowledge preferred
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Good understanding of computer spreadsheets and word processing programs
    • Ability to multi-task and the ability to be flexible as priorities fluctuate
    • Strong focus on customer service and satisfaction
    • Fast learner and eager to gain new workplace skills
