    Summary: 

     

    Performs a variety of validation functions related to closing a loan and prior input on loan. Reviews all loan closing related documents such as but not limited to title policies, deeds, trust documents, preliminary packages from closing agents, and insurances.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Prepares all closing documentation for applicable loan package within the regulatory guidelines in loan origination system
    • Serves as admin for all Mortgage Technology/System related programs (i.e. Finastra, Doc Magic, Core Logic etc.)
    • Checks pre-closing documents for proper signatures, dates, legal descriptions, and other relevant data
    • Obtains 10 day verifications of current employment status
    • Coordinates closing dates with Loan Officers and Closing Agents
    • Confirms accuracy of all closing documentation prior to sending for customer signatures
    • Prepares closing agent instruction letters
    • Prepares modification agreements, change in terms and subordination agreements
    • Funds closed loans
    • Prepares/quotes loan payoff requests
    • Manages construction loan draws and reviews completion of construction paperwork for the loan files. Ensures file includes complete documentation for inspection and payment receipts
    • Answers telephone and written inquiries concerning loan closing and information
    • Locks, extends, and pre-prices FHLMC lock-ins as required
    • Performs post-closing of all closed loans to ensure all documents are accurately signed and dated (FHLB Pledged loans)
    • Keep informed of current loan practices
    • Provide assistance to loan officers as needed
    • Orders supplies for Mortgage Department
    • Balances WIP account
    • Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor

    Requirements

    • Preferred 3-5 years’ experience in closing residential real estate loans
    • Good understanding of loan policies and procedures, documentation to perfect a loan, and loan compliance
    • Good organizational and analytical skills
    • Basic Mortgage Background preferred
    • Secondary Market Experience a plus
    • Title Experience a plus
