Summary:

Chesapeake Bank is looking for an individual to join our growing commercial loan team as a Commercial Loan Administrator. The individual in this role will support several lenders, assisting them with commercial loans from prospecting and application, through to the closing process. This position will perform various duties to support the overall needs of our commercial customers, including loan accounting, collateral monitoring, and regulatory compliance tasks. The individual in this role will also be responsible for some general clerical duties such as data entry, answering phone calls, and filing/sorting of documents.

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with and administratively supports two or more Commercial Lenders
  • Manages loan files and closings for new and renewed loans
  • Provides required compliance documents to customers in accordance with federal regulations and adherence to compliance policies
  • Provides customer service to internal and external customers
  • Works closely with the closing department to review closing packets and ensure proper documents are ready for closing
  • Communicates with other bank departments regarding questions and requests for commercial customers
  • Assists with ticklers and exceptions tracking for commercial loans
  • Understand their role as defined by the three lines of defense to maintain a compliance culture the includes risk management processes.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Previous banking experience is preferred
  • College degree or equivalent qualifying job experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Must be able to multi-task and work independently
  • Ability to understand complex operational processes and workflows
  • Ability to work quickly and an accurately, analyze information, and make decisions
  • Willingness to assume additional responsibilities, duties, and projects as they arise
